A corner sloping lot calls for a sense of protection from the street’s intersection.
Naturally a courtyard that is away from the cars is what comes to mind but a C shape can be a rigid layout.
So how do we soften and give life to that simple geometric shape?
What varies are the ceilings heights and shapes and the light filtering in throughout the day so that if you are spending time in the family room-kitchen and enjoy the sun partially visiting you there, thanks to perforated shields and calibrated openings, then you can find it again later on during the day as you move towards the bedrooms wings, only more red.
And the cycle starts all over from your master bedroom but always discreetly, with porches and curves that soften the effect of the rays as you slowly move back to the center of the house, so that you adjust to it.
All the interiors were developed with our associated interior design firm Bencasa Interiors and the cabinets and furniture imported from premium Italian brands.
